The Spring Personnel Limited Privacy Policy ("Spring", "we" or "our")

Spring Group and its subsidiaries are committed to protecting your privacy. We have put in place policies and procedures to protect personal information we collect about you so as to comply with the UK Data Protection Acts 1984 and 1998. Details of how we collect, use and disseminate your personal data is described here to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your privacy.

What data do we collect about you?

We obtain personal data about you when you complete your profile and submit your curriculum vitae. This personal data includes data such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, personal service company details and unique personal identifiers

If we are placing you with one of our clients, we shall also request and hold copies of documents showing your right to work in the UK (or the country in which you have chosen to work), financial information such as bank account details together with current, past and future work experience, skills experience and future job preferences. Data containing bank details and right to work details shall be held by a limited number of Spring employees. We also obtain information about you when we take up references from past employers/clients. As an Employment Bureaux and member of REC (www.rec.uk.com), we may take up references on you, as required by our client. We may outsource the obtaining of such information to a third party. We may record and store any telephone calls you have with us for record keeping and quality control purposes. We may undertake credit references, and other lawful checks, where a recruiting organisation requests Spring to take up such references.

We need your help to ensure that the data we hold is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. To achieve this we ask you to update your profile regularly and at minimum at least every 6 months. We are reliant on you supplying us with a factually accurate and complete picture of you and your requirements.

Your Internet Protocol address is automatically stored to assist in the diagnosis of problems with our server and to identify your requirements. We may use cookies to save your password that will assist you when you re-enter this site or to evaluate your interests.

How do we process your data?

Your personal data will be stored in our database. Your data is available to staff who provide a matching and selection service for clients who wish us to undertake this function for them and provide them with a small number of candidates to review. We will run searches to find the best matches between our client's requirements and candidates on the database. Such searches use key data that you supplied to us, such as availability, location, skill, experience level, professional experience and salary/fee requirements. Our system prioritises individuals according to the quality of the match with the recruiting organisation's requirements. The selection will also take into account any extra knowledge we have about our client's preferences. We shall share your personal data, including sensitive personal data, with third parties who may be seeking to engage your services through Spring. If you object to the sharing of such data in such a manner, please email us at the email address shown below. However if you object to your details being shared then there is a possibility your assignment or application may not proceed. Where necessary, in order to find job opportunities for you, you agree for your personal data to be sent outside of the EU. This however will not be sent unless your consent is obtained.

Who are your Clients and how do you vet them?

Client's can register for services by sending us an email or otherwise. We will vet prospective clients for creditworthiness, trading history and any other pertinent factors. Many of our client's are well known names and existing client's of other Spring Group companies.

Can your clients access my personal data?

We will not forward your details to our clients without discussing the client and the relevant opportunity with you first, and then getting your consent to us forwarding your details to them.

How secure is data held by us?

We use industry standard (or better) firewall technology to protect your personal data in our databases. Any paper based personal data, such a references, shall be viewable and securely stored by relevant staff who need access to such data.

Your Legal Data Protection Rights

You have the right to request a copy of the information held by us about you in our records in return for the payment of a small fee. You also have the right to correct any inaccuracies in the information.
